The music industry keeps blaming file sharing and mp3s for the decline in sales, but I think that consumers are just buying less because the industry keeps putting out junk. Case in point: The Very Best of Aaron Carter. What? Did they run out of good artists?
There a time when seasoned veterans would carefully select a greatest hits album, narrowing a huge repertoire of songs down to a few selections after decades' worth of best-selling albums. Is Aaron Carter even old enough to drive a car?
I had to laugh out loud at the album review posted in the iTunes music store:
"If crap had a soundtrack, it would be this."
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.

If you're still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you'll know which is right for you.
